A regular monthly survey by the National Statistical Institute (NSI) has revealed that managers believe the business climate in Bulgaria has improved slightly.
In June 2022, the overall business climate indicator rose 1.4 percentage points from May, with indicators in industry, construction and retail gaining, the NSI said on June 29.
In Bulgaria‘s industrial sector, the indicator rose by 1.7 percentage points, with managers feeling optimistic and bearing positive expectations for the next six months.
In construction, the indicator rose by 2.1 percentage points, with the industry having more favorable expectations for the next three months.
In retail, the indicator rose by one percentage point, with managers taking a more positive view of the current business situation and being optimistic about the volume of sales and orders from suppliers in the next three months.
The service sector indicator was broadly unchanged from May, with managers optimistic about current demand but cautious in their expectations for the coming three months, the NSI said.
