Sofia stock market indices close higher, Industrial Holding Bulgaria increases sales

SOFIA (Bulgaria), Aug 9 (SeeNews) – All Sofia stock exchange indices started the week in positive territory, supported by profits from diversified group Doverie United Holding [BUL:DUH] and the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) [BUL:BSE].

The blue chip SOFIX index climbed 0.10% to 580.86 points, mainly supported by a 2.55% increase in the Doverie United Holding share price.

A total of 4,649 shares in the holding company were traded on the floor of the Bulgarian stock exchange on Monday at an average price of 7,1284 lev.

Total sales in the main BSE market on Monday were 1.8 million levs (1.1 million US dollars / 920,300 euros). A total of 724,605 ​​shares in Industrial Holding Bulgaria [BUL:IHB] traded at an average price of 1.5725 lev and contributed nearly 1.2 million lev to daily turnover.

The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded stocks on the Sofia stock exchange, rose by 0.64% to 127.83 points, while the BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% are equally weighted Points gained 0.71% to 624.64 points. Both indices were positively influenced primarily by a 3.80% increase in the BSE share price, followed by an increase in the shares of Stara Planina Hold. by 3.55% [BUL:SHP].

Finance and Insurance Group Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:EUBG] led to declines among members of SOFIX, BGBX40 and BGTR30 on Monday, with the company’s shares dropping 3.08%.

Last week Eurohold announced that it intends to acquire the remaining 33% stake in CEZ Distribution, based in Sofia, and CEZ Electro, which it does not yet own, for a total of 219.2 million levs. Eurohold submitted the public purchase offers to the minority shareholders of the two companies, both of which are listed on the Bulgarian stock exchange, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Eastern European Electric Company BV (EEEC), the direct owner of the units acquired by the holding company from the Czech energy company CEZ in Bulgaria.

The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, rose 0.08% to 164.35 points after the shares of Advance Terraf and REIT rose 0.37% [BUL:ATER].
