Slipknot will be releasing new music “in the next month or so” – Kerrang!

BEST. NEWS. JE! Corey Taylor has confirmed that the Iowa metal legends will release their first single with a new Slipknot album in the works “next month or so ”before releasing the record.

While talking on The Eddie Trunk Podcast (via MetalInjection), Corey teases the new ‘Knot album: “It’s pretty much done. I would say it’s probably about 80 Percent done. We finish some music [and] I have a few more songs to sing.

“But I say, don’t be surprised if you hear something new in the next month or so. “

The front man also suggests that the album is the lead single “more of a ‘let’s beat everyone up and remind them why we’re still Slipknot’s kind of vibe, “which sounds absolute Perfect.

Corey told it before 955KLOS March 2021 that the nine interfered “conceptual “waters with their new material.

“Me and Clown talked about something really, really cool if we can do it, ”he enthused. “Chances are, if we’re really getting it right, it’s conceptual.

“I mean the music is brilliant. It extends what we did with We Are Not Your Kind – it blooms from then on – but the great thing is, it not only has that, it has everything you could want in a Slipknot project; there’s the heavy stuff, there’s the dark stuff, there’s the melodic stuff, there’s the weird stuff. We have so many different flavors to play with. Now, at this point, it’s just us one way to mix and match and see what inspires us.

“That’s all I can say right now, ”concluded the front man. “But I can tell you it’s really, really good man. We are entering a realm that we have never been to and that is exciting for us – especially after all these years. We pride ourselves on always trying to outdo ourselves, and if we can, it could be the ultimate ‘about ourselves’. “
