American premiere on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 to showcase ‘Power of Destiny’

NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, Sep 27, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ – Serbian rising soprano Marija Jelic will make her American debut in the legendary Carnegie Hall on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 States will highlight an enchanting evening of music together with the American pianist Anthony Manoli.

“Power of Destiny” presents Rachmaninov’s Russian songs, opera arias by the master composers Verdi and Puccini, including repertoire by Turandot, Madame Butterfly, Forza del destino and Otello.

Marija performed with Jonathan Tetelman and this season sang alongside Elīna Garanča, Placido Domingo and Jose Cura. Her impressive and emotional sound is enhanced by her renowned acting skills when she takes the stage. Classical recordings of each song impress audiences of all ages with assignable movements and breathtaking interpretations by the soprano.

A beautiful music carpet is created all night by the artist who has a unique background and story. Marija was born in Belgrade, Republic of Serbia. She later graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Belgrade University and learned singing while completing her master’s degree in opera.

In 2017, Marija auditioned for an opera studio at the National Theater in Belgrade and began to sing small and large roles in opera productions. Marija performed at the opening of the 2020 Ohrid Summer Festival, Beethoven’s 9th and Estonia in 2021.

Later in main halls and concerts in Serbia, her talents with the largest orchestras in Serbia “Stanislav Binicki” in the Kolarac Hall, the Radio-TV Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Serbian National Theater and she performed at the Belgrade Summer Festival.

Following this stage in her career, she performed in the opera gala concert at the German Summer Festival in Wernigerode. From there she sang a Paris requiem at the Moscow International Music Center. She sang ten concerts with the St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra and Maestro Darrel Ang (Mariinsky Theater) at the National Library in Beijing, the Dongying Grand Theater and the Liniy Snow Lotus Theater.

Marija made her debut with the role of Mimi at the Serbian National Theater in Novi Sad. She played Micaela at the Croatian National Theater in Osijek. She also sang in Moscow with the Bryansk Governor Orchestra and the St. Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra in St. Petersburg. She also sang in the city of Brjansk (Russia) with the Brjansk Governor Orchestra.
