Danica Scoma and Litzy Lopez each scored to lead the La Salle-Peru girls soccer team to a 2-1 win over Plano in an Interstate Eight Conference game in Plano on Friday.
Lexi Robbins made 19 saves for the Cavaliers.
COED Athletics
At El Paso: The Henry Midland girls placed third and Fieldcrest placed fourth in Friday’s nine-school El Paso-Gridley Invitational.
Seneca won with 85 points, the Mallards scored 41.5 and the Knights finished with 41.5.
For HM, Nakeita Kessling won the long jump with a jump of 18 feet, 3 inches and the 800 meters in 2:35.93, was second over 100 in 13.18 seconds and third over 100 hurdles in 18.07 seconds while Laney Lester won Discus with a throw of 118-9 ¼.
Fieldcrest’s Carolyn Megow won the shot put with a throw of 32-1 ½.
In the boys, Henry-Midland (15.5) finished eighth and Fieldcrest (1) ninth. Bloomington Central Catholic won at 61.
Connor Keinath led the Mallards as he placed third in the shot put with a throw of 39-6 ¼.
Fieldcrest’s Caleb Krischel finished fifth in the mile in 5:06.04, while the FHS quartet of Auden Meierhofer, Landin Wright, Jozia Johnson and Michael Scott finished fifth in the sprint medley relay in 1:46.91.
BASEBALL
Hall 12, Normal West 2 (5 restaurants): Mac Resetich went 2 for 3 with a double, drove in five runs and scored two goals to lead the Red Devils to victory in a non-conference game in Spring Valley on Friday.
Kyler Lapp was 2-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and a run for Hall (12-2), while Max Bryant went 2-for-2 with two runs.
Dom Galetti threw a full game and allowed two unearned runs with three hits while hitting five batsmen and three walking.
12 Henry-Senachwine, Princeville 2 (6 Inn): Eric Garrison went 2 for 4 with three RBIs and two runs on Friday to help the Mallards to an out-of-conference win in Princeville.
Garrison also threw a full game, giving up two earned runs on six hits with eight strikeouts and a walk.
Lance Kiesewetter was 2 for 4 with a double and drove in three runs for Henry (11-6) while Mason Johnson tripled and scored three runs.
3 Monmouth-Roseville, 2 St. Bede (8 Inn): The Bruins fell to a walkoff single in the eighth inning in a Three Rivers Conference crossover in Monmouth on Friday.
Jayce Ladzinski was 1 for 3 and scored both runs for St Bede (3-8) while Seth Ferrari suffered defeat on the mound.
Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 7, Fieldcrest 0: The Knights managed just three hits in a loss at the Heart of Illinois Conference in Gibson City on Friday.
Koltin Kearfott was the losing pitcher for Fieldcrest (2-7, 1-4 HOIC).
SOFT BALL
Princeton 5, Morrison 2: Hannah Muelschlegel doubled twice, scored two runs and drove one run on Friday to help the Tigresses to a win in a Three Rivers Conference crossover in Princeton.
Muelschlegel was also the winning pitcher, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits with six strikeouts and eight walks.
Katie Bates was 2 for 3 with a pair of RBIs for PHS (9-2) while Abby Peterson tripled, scored a run and drove a run.
Bates made a save and hit a perfect seventh inning with two strikeouts.
Peoria Christian 8, Henry-Senachwine 1: Abbie Stanbary scored the only run for the Mallards not to hit in an out-of-conference loss on Friday at Henry.
Rylan Davis took the loss in circles.
BOYS LIGHT AND FIELD
At Metamora: Princeton finished third in Class A, fourth in Class B and third in Class C at the Metamora ABC Meet on Friday.
In Class A, Keegan Fogarty won the 100-meter dash in 10.95 seconds and the 200-meter dash in 22.26 seconds, while Teegan Davis won the high jump with 5 feet, 11 ¾ inches and the long jump with 22- 6 finished second. Davis also won the Class B pole vault, 10-0.
GIRL TRACK AND FIELD
In Oregon: Hall placed 10th out of 12 teams at Friday’s Landers-Loomis Invitational.
Hall’s Victoria Ullrich was third in the pole vault, clearing 6ft, 5½in, while the Red Devil quartet of Jenniger Casford, Promise Giacometti, Jayden Jones and Molly Dalzot finished fourth in the 4x200m relay in 1:59.76 became.

Putnam County 16, Roanoke-Benson/Lowpoint-Washburn 1 (4 Inns): Maggie Richetta went 3 for 3 with a double, four RBIs and two runs as the Panthers routed the Rockets in a Tri-County Conference game in Granville.
Maddie Weger was 2 for 3 with a double, three runs and an RBI for PC (6-4, 3-3 TCC) while Gabby Doyle went 2 for 4 with a double, two runs and an RBI.
Kara Staley allowed a deserved run on three hits with four strikeouts and a walk in four innings.
11 Princeton, Mendota 0 (5 Inn): The Tigresses exploded for 11 runs in the fourth inning en route to a Three Rivers Conference East Division win at Princeton.
Mckenzie Hecht and Kelsea Klingenberg each went 3 for 3, with Hecht driving in one run and scoring two goals and Klingenberg scoring one run and driving in one.
Katie Bates and Rilee Sterling each doubled and had two RBIs.
Bates also clinched the circle win for PHS (8-2, 5-0 TRC East) as she gave up just one hit while hitting six and walking none.

At Granville: The Putnam County boys took second place in a square, while the Panthers girls took third place.
In the boys, Joey Twardowski won the high jump, clearing 5ft, 5¾in, while Wyatt Grimshaw was second in the 800 meters (2:16.01) and third in the 1,600 (5:30.13).
In the girls, Molly Roach won the 400m (1:06.79) and was third in the 100m (14.58 seconds).

At Geneseo: Princeton placed fifth in the seven-team Geneseo Invitational.
Morgan Foes finished second in the discus with a 101ft, 4in throw, while Miyah Fox finished second in the 100m hurdles in 17.11 seconds.
