Kenneth Bert “Woody” Wood, son of Bert and Stella Loney Wood, was born in Lebanon, Missouri, on April 11, 1941 and aged through the world’s troubles on December 3, 2021 at his home in Lebanon, Missouri left of eighty years.
Woody, as family and friends called him, made a profession of Christ and was a member of the Liberty Freewill Baptist Church at the time of his death.
He was married to Patsy Schuyler on August 29, 1959. Together they shared love and memories for 62 years while raising their two children.
Woody graduated from Lebanon High School with the 1959 class. He worked for Detroit Tool for 33 years as a master machine operator before retiring in 2006. He was an avid fisherman and bowler. He also enjoyed the hunt. He was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the St. Louis Cardinals. The time he spent with his family and laughing was what he valued most.
He is survived by his wife Patsy “Pat” of the home; Children, Kenneth B. Wood, Jr. “Jay” and his wife Kim Campbell from Kansas City, MO and Holly Christine Graves and her husband Keith from Bolivar, MO; a sister, Margaret Suitcase and her husband Ken from Jefferson City, MO; six grandchildren, Robert Michael Wood and wife Kelee, Jeremy Christopher Wood, Katherine Rae Wood, Cody Allen Graves and wife Tiffany, Tyler Scott Graves and Rachel Renee Graves; Great-grandchildren, Adian Gail Wood, Allie Varella Wood, and Ezra Allen Graves; Brother-in-law, Bill Schuyler and his wife Billie from Varna, IL and Bob Schuyler and his wife Marilyn from Alamogordo, New Mexico; other relatives and many friends.
Those who preceded him in death include his parents; two sisters, Marilyn Wood and Mildred “Midge” Berry; and a brother-in-law, Jim Schuyler.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
