Germany’s FlixMobility opens a hub in Sofia, Bulgaria

SOFIA (Bulgaria), August 25 (SeeNews) – The German mobility service provider FlixMobility, which operates in Bulgaria through its FlixBus brand, has opened its first FlixBus expert center in Sofia, the company’s Bulgarian unit informed SeeNews on Wednesday.

FlixMobility is in the early stages of recruiting and has yet to determine the exact number of employees it needs in each department of the Expert Center, said Alexandra Constandache, the company’s PR manager, in an email in response to a request from SeeNews.

“We expect to build a team of around 200 people,” said Constandache.

The hub in Sofia will complement the existing FlixBus hubs in Nuremberg, Germany and Kharkiv, Ukraine.

“The Sofia center will be primarily responsible for marketing and technology activities, but we are also recruiting candidates for operational roles and HR and accounting teams who have the opportunity to work on innovation and service development,” said Constandache.

FlixMobility has been active on the Bulgarian market since 2018. The company currently offers FlixBus services to several cities in Europe, including Zagreb in Croatia, Ljubljana in Slovenia, Salzburg in Austria and Munich in Germany.

FlixMobility was founded in 2013 as a start-up FlixBus in Munich and currently operates a bus network with more than 2,500 routes in 36 countries.

In addition to FlixBus, FlixMobility also operates the FlixTrain rail service and the FlixCar car pool service.
