The deaths of five people who tested positive for Covid-19 in Bulgaria were recorded on Sunday, bringing the country’s disease-related death toll to 18,174, according to the National Information System report dated July 19.
Of 5936 tests done the previous day, 57 – about 0.96 percent – turned out positive.
So far, 422,965 cases of the new coronavirus have been confirmed in Bulgaria, of which 7,617 are active. That’s an increase of 26 active cases on the last day.
The report said that four people in Bulgaria recovered from the virus last day, bringing the total to 397,174.
In Bulgaria there are 744 patients in hospital with Covid-19, an increase from three last day, and 88 in intensive care a decrease from three.
So far, according to the national information system, 13,458 medical personnel have tested positive, and there were no new cases on the previous day.
In Bulgaria, a total of 1 911 953 vaccine doses against Covid-19 were administered, of which 2044 were on Sunday.
According to the report, to date, 874,080 people in Bulgaria have completed the vaccination cycle, including 887 on Sunday.
