Ninety-nine people in Bulgaria who tested positive for Covid-19 died last day, bringing the country’s disease-related death toll to 20,350, according to the unified information portal report dated Jan.
Of 20,996 tests done the previous day, 1,835 – about 8.73 percent – proved positive.
So far, 489 423 cases of the new coronavirus have been confirmed in Bulgaria, of which 41 752 are active, increasing the number of active cases by 681 last day.
According to the report, 1,055 people were registered as recovered last day, bringing the total to 427,321.
In Bulgaria there are 4,949 hospitalized patients with Covid-19, a decrease from 10 last day, 414 in intensive care, an increase from nine.
34 medical staff tested positive the previous day for a total of 14,321.
According to the report, 2,494,575 vaccine doses against Covid-19 have been administered in Bulgaria so far, of which 11,441 were administered on the previous day.
A total of 8502 people in Bulgaria completed the vaccination cycle last day, making a total of 1,298,936.
