Seventy-three people in Bulgaria who tested positive for Covid-19 died last day, bringing the country’s disease-related death toll to 20,423, according to the unified information portal report dated Jan.
Of 24,275 tests done the previous day, 1904 – about 7.84 percent – turned out positive.
So far, 491,327 cases of the new coronavirus have been confirmed in Bulgaria, of which 41,874 are active, an increase of 122 in the number of active cases over the past day.
The report said 1,709 people were registered as of the previous day to have recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 429,030.
In Bulgaria there are 4969 patients in hospital with Covid-19, an increase of 20 last day, with 416 in intensive care, an increase of two.
Last day, 25 medical staff tested positive for a total of 14,350.
So far, 2 504 482 vaccine doses against Covid-19 have been administered in Bulgaria, of which 10 010 on the previous day, while 1 306 264 people completed the vaccination cycle, an increase of 7,328 on the previous day.
