58 people in Bulgaria who tested positive for Covid-19 died last day, bringing the country’s disease-related death toll to 20,224, according to the unified information portal report dated Jan.
Of 22,276 tests done the previous day, 2,192 – about 9.84 percent – proved positive.
So far, 486 738 cases of the new coronavirus have been confirmed in Bulgaria, of which 40 832 are active. The number of active cases rose by 1,104 last day.
The report said 1,030 people were registered to recover from the virus last day, bringing the total to 425,682.
In Bulgaria there are 4935 patients in hospital with Covid-19, an increase from 56 last day, with 405 in intensive care, an increase from 17.
Thirty-three health workers tested positive the previous day, making a total of 14,278.
According to the report, 2,481,276 vaccine doses against Covid-19 have been administered in Bulgaria so far, of which 10,071 on the previous day.
A total of 1 289 055 people in Bulgaria completed the vaccination cycle, 7289 of them on the previous day.
