Covid-19 in Bulgaria: 149 dead last day, 2536 new cases registered

The deaths of 149 people in Bulgaria who tested positive for Covid-19 were recorded last day, raising the number of disease-related deaths in the country, according to the Ministry of Health report dated Jan.

Of 24,032 tests done the previous day, 2,536 – about 10.55 percent – were positive.

So far, 495,397 cases of the new coronavirus have been confirmed in Bulgaria, of which 42,444 are active. The number of active cases rose by 119 last day.

According to the report, 2,268 people were registered as recovered last day, bringing the total to 432,315.

In Bulgaria there are 5048 patients in hospital with Covid-19, a decrease from 30 on the last day, with 432 in intensive care, an increase from 14.

37 medical staff tested positive the previous day for a total of 14,402.

So far, 2,513,769 vaccine doses against Covid-19 have been administered in Bulgaria, 5215 of them on the previous day.

A total of 1,312,649 people in Bulgaria completed the vaccination cycle, including 3,514 on the last day.
