The deaths of 138 people in Bulgaria who tested positive for Covid-19 were recorded last day, increasing the number of deaths associated with the disease in the country, according to the unified information portal report dated Jan.
Of 24,719 tests last day, 2,360 – about 9.54 percent – were positive.
So far, 484 546 cases of the new coronavirus have been confirmed in Bulgaria, of which 39 728 are active. The number of active cases rose by 994 last day.
The report said 1,228 people were registered as of the previous day to have recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 424,652.
In Bulgaria there are 4879 patients in hospital with Covid-19, an increase from 129 last day, with 388 in intensive care, a decrease of three.
28 medical staff tested positive the previous day for a total of 14,245.
The report said that 7555 doses of Covid-19 vaccine were administered in Bulgaria last day, bringing the total to 2,471,212.
According to the report, a total of 1,281,766 people in Bulgaria completed the vaccination cycle, including 5,627 on the previous day.
