Twelve people in Bulgaria who tested positive for Covid-19 died last day, bringing the country’s disease-related death toll to 18,061, according to the national information system report dated July 1.
Of 13,480 tests done the previous day, 78 – about 0.57 percent – turned out positive.
To date, 421,829 cases of new coronavirus have been confirmed in Bulgaria, a number that includes the deceased, the active cases and those who have recovered from the virus.
There are 9111 active cases, down from 122 last day.
The report said that 188 people in Bulgaria recovered from the virus last day, bringing the total to 394,657.
1481 patients with Covid-19 are in the hospital, a decrease of 14 the previous day, 179 in the intensive care unit, a number unchanged from the previous day.
To date, 13,444 medical workers have tested positive – again, a number that includes the deceased, active cases, and those who have recovered from the virus – including one last day.
So far, 1,761,277 vaccine doses against Covid-19 have been administered in Bulgaria, of which 13,027 on the previous day.
A total of 805,473 people in Bulgaria completed the vaccination cycle, ie they received either a second dose or a single dose vaccination. This includes 7420 on Wednesday.
