Bulgarian envoy visits KP-BOIT, KMU

PESHAWAR- Bulgarian Ambassador to Pakistan Irena Gancheva, along with Senator Faisal Saleem Rehman, visited the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment and Trade (KP-BOIT) to explore investment opportunities.

Deputy Chairman of KP-BOIT Said Mehmood assured cooperation to improve bilateral trade with Bulgaria and current investment opportunities. He said that KP-BOIT, as the leading organization for investment promotion and facilitation, would help Bulgarian investors. Hassan Daud Butt, CEO of KP-BOIT, informed about the possibilities and potential of cooperation in different sectors and highlighted areas of trade and investment.

In response, Irena Gancheva added that Bulgaria, as a member of the European Union, has an ideal location. The Ambassador paid tribute to the pro-investment policies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s government. She expressed interest in developing infrastructure and regional connectivity.

She said trade between Bulgaria and Pakistan could be improved. She explained that both sides agreed that a mechanism can be put in place through which the business community of both sides can interact on a regular basis.

Meanwhile, Ambassador of Bulgaria Irena Gancheva praised the progress made by Khyber Medical University (KMU) in Peshawar in a short span of 15 years in various academic and research fields. She expressed her desire to collaborate with SMEs in various academic and research programs.
