Bulgarian National Radio has collected the moods of Bulgarians for today:

– “We appear on the world map after September 22nd. Whether dependent or independent in our minds and psyche is another matter, but as of this date we are an independent country.

– It fills me absolutely with joy, with pride, with mixed feelings. A little sadness for the simple reason that we are a small country and a small country always depends on someone, but that doesn’t stop us from fighting for ours independenceat least trying to have it.

– This is one of the most significant holidays in the country, and therefore it is important to be together on this day, to have a desire to be together, because our desire is becoming less and less.

– Always proud the flag of independence. Bulgaria been through much more difficult times than these, but our people are smart, our people are wise and have always gotten out of difficult situations.”
