Although originally this was supposed to be a largely positive and exciting week for all things America’s Got Talentwith NBC debuted the highly anticipated Extreme spin-off, things instead took a more melancholic turn when news broke that former contestant and viral inspiration Nightbirde passed away after a long battle with cancer. While none of the AGT Judges, who heaped praise on the late talent, were able to express their condolences on the pre-taped Extreme Premiere stars Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, Terry Crews and Heidi Klum all shared their heartfelt reactions to the sad news.
Although Simon Cowell was arguably Nightbirde’s greatest champion during her 2021 audition, grants her his golden buzzer in this episode that America’s Got Talent The creator has yet to share a public reaction to the news of her death. However, everyone else from the show took to social media shortly after the news broke.
At TwitterHowie Mandel shares how much of an inspiration Nightbirde was and is, despite not being such an important part of everyone’s life during her stint AGT journey and he is grateful for the time he had and says:
@_nightbirde has been such a bright, inspiring light in all of our lives. We must continue to live and learn from their words and lyrics. As terrified as I feel about her death, I feel fortunate to have met, heard, and known her.February 21, 2022
Meanwhile Mandels America’s Got Talent Co-judge Sofia Vergara picked her up Instagram stories to share the picture and message below.
Terry Crews, who was balanced AGT hosting tasks with his Brooklyn Nine-Nine starring until the end of the cop-centric comedy in 2021, took to Instagram with a loving post in Nightbirde’s memory.
While perhaps she had the least say in terms of the message that Cake lover Heidi Klum made up for it in style by sharing the pics to her Instagram Stories below:
Not to be outdone by all of the show’s stars, the official America’s Got Talent The Twitter page also published a touching message Twitter put the memory of Nightbirde in the spotlight.
