Accor opens M Gallery property in Bulgaria – Business Traveler

Accor has opened its first M Gallery property in Bulgaria in the ancient city of Plovdiv.

Emporium Plovdiv – M Gallery was designed by Sundukovy Sisters S+S and is housed in a former department store. The interior evokes the shape of an ancient forum and pays tribute to the city’s archaeological sites – the Roman Forum is 700 meters from the hotel.

The design blends old and new with brass accents, stucco molding, gold lamps and natural woods. The hotel also features a bespoke signature fragrance inspired by the destination and developed by French company Shams Conseils.

The 61 “smart rooms” incorporate innovative technologies that allow guests to adjust the lights in their room, open and close the curtains and control the audiovisual equipment.

The property also offers “wellness and fitness zones,” a champagne and cocktail bar, and three conference rooms. The Torro Premio restaurant will open soon and will offer classic Bulgarian dishes and international cuisine prepared on a Mibrasa grill.

General Manager Pawel Panczak commented:

“The opening of this amazing hotel is the beginning of the beautiful adventure of creating unforgettable moments for our guests who travel to Plovdiv from all over the world. With the unique ambience of boutique brand MGallery, taking hospitality to a higher level, we encourage everyone to relax, admire some of the region’s oldest golden treasures and create stories to be remembered forever.”

Accor currently has more than 100 M Gallery properties in 30 countries around the world.
